"August 25. I approached Xerogrid with a request for a Victron BESS system, they were helpful before the work started and seemed to understand the scope and my requirements. By October 25 - They got the majority of the equipment, had it put in place.... but not wired into my home or commissioned. Numerous calls and emails later - it became evident they did not understand the requirements at the start, internal communication and professionalism went out of the window. My project was put to the bottom of the pile. After being ignored for most of November and December 2025, I again tried in Jan 26, I was dismissed and told I needed a G99 application. I said fine, whatever is needed to get the system operational. Xerogrid said they would do the application .... this then gave them the excuse of the DNO being the blockage... roll onto May 26, I ring the DNO myself to see what the issue is as we still have no G99. They reply saying the initial application had missing information and it was returned, but was due to expire in 1 day and I would have to restart the 3 month application again if it expired. Immediately call Ian and Xerogrid to explain this.... they said it would be sorted. I ring the DNO the day after, the application expired due to no response. June 26 - I do the G99 application myself, gets approved within 3 weeks, find another reputable contractor and the system is up and running by early July. What a waste of time and money. I lost out on a grant that I had eplained to Xerogrid and also the savings of the BESS for the best part of a year. Some of the team are knowledgeable, but they promised more than they could deliver and I lost out because of it. Communication is poor and I was put into the too had box."
