"I am writing to express our sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by the ProTen Services team at our property in St. Helens. First, I would like to compliment Thomas for his professional survey and advice regarding the damp remedial work needed. Beside, We also deeply appreciate how promptly Kelvin was sent to replace the short window seal. His craftsmanship and work quality were significantly better, effectively preventing any further damp invasion. In addition, our tenant shared glowing feedback about Mark who performed the damp proofing course and replastering. The tenant was extremely impressed by his courtesy, clear communication, and respectful manner. He made sure to keep the tenant updated at every stageβnotifying them when taking lunch breaks, finishing up for the day, and taking necessary photos. His thoughtful and considerate approach made the tenant feel comfortable, engaged, and truly respected throughout the job."

"If I could leave a 1 star I would! This company is a complete joke and running illegally. I am a first time buyer and when buying the property I was told there was a guarantee for the damp proofing course which was taken out in Aug 2009. I'd had a home buyers report done and I was told there was a high level of damp in the areas where the course was treated but I was told that this can sometimes happen and I would just need to get the company to come out again to redo the areas in question. When calling the Proten to firstly find out if the guarantee was still valid ie the term they told me that they couldn't tell me anything for I wasn't the property owner and I would have to pay Β£219 to get it put in my name. I bought the house knowing that I had the guarantee, when calling to get the guarantee put into my name (which took them over 2 weeks to get in touch) they told me that I would need another 4 pieces of information to have anybody to come out and look at the work they had done or have it re done. I couldn't quite believe my ears. They should of told me that before I signed the papers so that I could of asked the previous owners for the information. I now can't get in touch with the previous owners or the property for this information but in my eyes who keeps the estimate, inspection report, quotation, sales invoice and sketch plans? When they think the guarantee would be enough. I asked if they had a copy of this that they could send me but they said that it isn't there responsibility to give me that information. This company is a ripe off company with damp proofing which obviously doesn't work nor provides a very good customer services. Not only were they trying to get more money out of me just to put the guarantee that isn't valid (without information they didn't tell me I needed) but not giving me paperwork which is obviously now mine being the property owner which this breaks gdpr and data protection, but also breaking the rules of the sales of goods act. This will be taken to my solicitors and the news papers as I know few editors. Despicable company."
"In the process of buying a house, we had a home buyer's survey come back with some serious issues that required further investigation by specialist surveyors. The damp survey through Proten was one of three surveys we had carried out within a week. I spoke to the actual surveyor once, following the survey, and he was friendly and helpful; however, the report took two full weeks to materialise, despite repeated chasing. When the report did finally arrive in my inbox, it was extremely vague - it in fact contained much less information than I'd been given verbally over the phone. The intention of the report was to identify necessary repairs to the house for the purpose of price negotiation, but it didn't contain enough detail to be useful for this. We actually pulled out of the purchase while we were waiting for the report, but had we not, it would have been very frustrating and stressful to be delayed waiting for a report which wasn't fit for purpose anyway."
