A Step Above Roofing and Building LTD

"It was about time for a roof replacement on our house, and after initially going to Matthew and team a few years ago for a quote, I approached them again. They gave me a very competitive quote and previously had given me a lot of confidence in talking about the job. We also agreed beforehand that there were a couple of factors related to insulation of the roof that may cause the price to rise, but we'd discuss beforehand if that came up. The job was done very well. Extremely well in fact. Everything I had asked for on the roof was done, as well as some extra work to improve both roof itself and loft area. Top quality materials were also used. Pictures were taken so we could see the progress being made, and some good discussions had about what they had done to oue roof vs similar roofs in the area. The price did go up from the quote, but this was discussed and agreed beforehand so that is definitely not a negative. Finally the attitude was professional from start to finish, and the responses to my many questions were provided quickly and patiently. I know a roof replacement is a lot of moneyz but if have no hesitation in recommending them to people who are looking for a good job doing. And I may be getting them back at some point to do some work on our garage roof!"

"I have had a chimney restoration and a porch roof replacement done by Matthew. Very professional from start to finish on both jobs. Fair price and quality workmanship. I would definitely recommend. Thank you."

"Matthew fixed my leaky roof last year and did a great job, and when my neighbour had the same problem last week, I gave them his number. He came out at short notice and within a couple of days it was fixed. Top job and top guy, thanks Matthew."

"I couldn’t be happier with the work Matthew did! He removed my old roof and fitted a brand new one to an excellent standard. He was on time every day, polite, professional, and really took pride in his work. Matthew took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated. The quality of the finish is outstanding — I couldn’t have asked for a better service. Highly recommend!- Thank you Matthew"

"Nice enough guy, although doesn't come back out to any faults caused by his works and stops answering. Photo's attached. UPDATE - 30/03/24 I have included a picture showing i messaged notifying that scaffolding had gone up - said he would call over to sort it out but didn't."
